 The FIXMonitor provides a window into your FIX Infrastructure, providing functionality far beyond that implied by “Monitor”. It will non-intrusively monitor your FIX infrastructure and give you a real-time display of all FIX messages while simultaneously persisting all messages to a database. The database provides a reporting front-end that may be then utilized to generate regulatory, compliance or ad-hoc reports. Several canned reports are packaged with FIXMonitor to get you up and running instantly.
The FIXMonitor works non-intrusively. It does not get in the way of your connections; instead it passively monitors network packets and selectively picks out the data packets of interest. It thus poses no risk to your production environment.
While FIXMonitor is packaged with several user interfaces that give you both summary and detailed views of your FIX traffic, an open API allows you to extend these applications or author entirely new interfaces if necessary.
FIXMonitor is also able to add redundancy to your FIX infrastructure. Many FIX implementations today do not have adequate, if any, support for disaster recovery. FIXMonitor gives you the option to stream your “live” data to a backup location. In the event of an outage at your primary location, your FIX data is safely stored and available at your backup location. |
